  Climate

We track, monitor, and report our scope 1 & 2 emissions and are assessing scope 3 emissions. We have plans to reduce scope 1 & 2 emissions and increase renewable energy sourcing through rooftop solar and third-party providers. Our goal is to achieve net zero emissions by 2050, with further action plans to support this as we map scope 3 emissions and engage with our value chain.

Rooftop Solar

Since 2023 we have installed rooftop solar at two of our manufacturing facilities at Regency Park, South Australia and most recently in 2024 Heshan, China.

Driving Energy Efficiencies

We have implemented several initiatives to improve the energy efficiency of our operations, including LED lighting upgrades our manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and offices; installing skylights; replacing fans and upgrading other equipment in our manufacturing facilities.

No-Added PFAS

In response to the growing awareness of PFAS (Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances) as chemicals of concern, the Detmold Group has set targets for 100% of our products to have no intentionally added PFAS as part of our 2025-2050 Sustainability Goals.

Reducing Water Use

As part of our Sustainability Goals, we aim to reduce water use across our operations year-on-year. As a manufacturer with relatively low levels of water consumption, we have installed systems to use water efficiently and to collect, treat, and reuse wastewater. These measures help minimize our impact on water resources and ensure we meet regulatory requirements for wastewater discharge.

Product design for reusability, recyclability, or compostability
