Pappa Flock, Chicken QSR, opened its initial store in Parramatta in 2023, now having 5 stores in NSW, expanding to 10 stores during 2025.

The Challenge

Pappa Flock came to Detpak with a vision of their packaging range, consisting of 10+ products, with a core focus being placed on their hero “Flock Box” and “Mighty Box”.

Part of the challenge was ensuring they partnered with a packaging supplier with knowledge of sugarcane and skills to work with them to design custom shape sugarcane clams, making these truly unique in the market.

Pappa Flock required a packaging supplier that understood their brand vision, wider business needs, customer expectations around packaging, and a supplier that could provide a complete QSR packaging range.

 

 
 

The Solution

Sugarcane was the preferred material due to its rigid structure, and its ability to be designed with custom-shaped compartments that would allow for a distinct look.  

During material consideration and selection, custom print needed to be factored in to ensure that Pappa Flock's packaging would stand out in a busy market.


Detpak were able to utilise its owned manufacturing capabilities for 80% of the range, allowing for more emphasis to be put on the hero sugarcane clams.

Launchpad™, our specialist, in-house packaging design agency and in-house R&D lab helped deliver on the conceptual project, from both a design and production perspective. This included 3D computer visuals, 3D printed samples, and short run samples manufactured to allow Pappa Flock ample opportunity to make updates as the project progressed.

The Results

The result was a successful launch in market giving Pappa Flock a truly unique clam for their hero “Flock Box” and “Mighty Box”.

With Detpak’s manufacturing capabilities and design lab, LaunchPad, Pappa Flock were able to receive a full custom-branded suite that aligned with Pappa Flock’s total brand and packaging needs, executing the campaign brief.
